Modern Tech And Mass Evangelism

by Rick Allen on April 19, 2024

The internet and digital technologies put more people within reach of the gospel than at any previous time in the church age.

More than 5.3 billion people use the internet daily, with 92 percent of them watching at least one internet video. This digital age is a time for rapid, mass evangelism among people groups not easily reached through other means.

About 10 years ago I visited a sensitive country where Light for the Lost provided Assemblies of God missionaries with evangelism resources through innovative digital technology. Using LFTL funds, they took 100+ pounds’ worth of printed evangelism resources and loaded them onto thousands of Kindle tablets for distribution to local pastors. Since then, those pastors have used the devices to share the gospel across their nation.

We are so grateful to God for modern technologies! Many missionaries utilize internet technology, apps, audio, and video to share the gospel. Though LFTL does not buy the hardware, we provide funding for production, translation, digitization, distribution, and maintenance (which are all critical).

Please pray about helping us partner with missionaries who need funding for these incredible, innovative resources for evangelism. There are at least $100,000 in missionary requests for digital and app-based evangelism tools (in dozens of languages) at the current time.

Your partnership and investment will help reach untold numbers of people with the story of Jesus and His message of salvation in a language they can understand. Thank you for helping build the Kingdom through these incredible technologies.
